I was waiting for the sky to fall
and hit me on the head
wake me up from this bad dream
I couldn't do this alone
I just needed an angel
to wash me clean
I felt so filthy
and those memories wouldn't stop screaming at me
I needed something to make it worth while
I had so many reasons
but I just needed a little more
something to set my soul on fire
something to try harder for
and maybe someone to walk through the doors with
cause my arms were to weak to open them alone
just needed a little light
needed a reason to unlock those chains
that kept my heart inside and safe
just in case it decided to break the rules
and feel something
